"Passing On the Gift" with Heifer International
Thanks to Samantha Pettit, one of our Risk Analysts, for introducing The Funds Transfer Alliance to the fabulous organization Heifer International.
Heifer helps people obtain a sustainable source of food and income by providing animals to needy communities, and asks them to "Pass on the Gift" by giving offspring to other communities who are also in need. This get and give approach contributes to long term sustainability and creates the largest impact on underprivileged communities.
According to the website, “Passing on the Gift” creates a living cycle of sustainability that develops community and enhances self-esteem by allowing project partners to become donors.
